Welcome to our practice. We specialize in state-of-the-science cosmetic surgery of the face, breast and body, including blepharoplasty, rhinoplasty, facelift and neck lift, fat transfer, breast augmentation, lift and reduction, tummy tuck, and liposculpture/Smartlipo™. I am Dr. Michael Schwartz, and I would love the opportunity to discuss with you whatever surgery you are considering. I have been in practice in the Pasadena area since 1990 and have undergone extensive training in facial plastic surgery, liposuction, liposculpture and laser lipolysis. I recently completed a full year of fellowship training in cosmetic surgery of the breast and body.

My goal is to provide the highest level of care possible, and to this end, I spend as much time with each patient as needed throughout our entire relationship. I am happy to see prospective patients in consultation more than once, and am always happy to personally answer emails and phone calls.

My college degree is from Lawrence University in biochemistry, 1978. I then received my M.D. degree from Loyola Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago, 1982, and completed two years of internal medicine training at the LAC/USC Medical Center in Los Angeles, followed by one year of general surgery and four years of training in head and neck surgery at the University of Southern California. I next completed one year of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery training at the University of Illinois and USC.

After practicing cosmetic plastic surgery of the face, I studied the tumescent technique of liposuction and liposculpture in the 1990's and was one of the first in the Los Angeles area to incorporate laser technology with the SmartLipo™ laser. I recently took time out from my practice and completed a one-year fellowship in cosmetic surgery of the breast and body and am now happy to provide full face and body cosmetic surgery services to our patients.

I am a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, and the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. I am board certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) and the American Board of Otolaryngology (ABO).

My Philosophy

My philosophy as a cosmetic plastic surgeon is to achieve natural looking results that address the patient's goals while avoiding, as much as possible, any and all telltale signs of surgery. There are many people walking around today with obvious surgical changes. In my opinion, these do not enhance a person's natural attractiveness. I feel surgery is a success only when the goals of rejuvenation are met and it is nearly impossible to tell that the patient has undergone plastic surgery. To this end, my objective is to always achieve a natural, un-operated look that meets each patient's desires.
